Known limitation: the plotted first visible point is currently too far north and east relative to the imagery. It is neither a reliable observed track start nor a release/origin point, and the adjoining route segment requires correction. The cyan path is otherwise a preliminary — m trace. The late bouncing/tumbling mode is motivated by the repeated-looking marks near the terminal segment, but its onset, spacing and height are adjustable hypotheses—not a fitted trajectory. Terrain is SLDEM2015 at 59.2 m/pixel; image texture detail is finer than the elevation mesh.

Method and data

Elevation comes from the SLDEM2015 LOLA/Kaguya merged DEM, sampled at 59.225 m/pixel. The displayed local plane is fitted over a 250 m radius: 19.119° downhill toward azimuth 142.747°, with 4.970 m plane-fit RMSE. The route is retraced from registered LROC NAC image pixels; the DEM supplies regional elevation along it. The texture is LROC imagery, not additional elevation data. The default vertical scale is 1.0×, so the displayed geometry is physically scaled; increasing it is a visual aid only.
